Wellness service

Buddie offers general wellness education, self-tracking, editable meal estimates from search, labels, descriptions and selected photos, companion care, and games. Photo and text analysis produce reviewable estimates, not verified nutrition facts. Buddie does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services. You are responsible for reviewing estimates and choosing actions appropriate for you. The Health & Safety page is part of these Terms.

Who may use Buddie

You must be at least 13 and legally able to agree to these Terms. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use Buddie only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. A guardian who permits use is responsible for that use.

Your profile and content

Keep device-link codes and access to your devices private. You retain ownership of information you enter. You give Buddie permission to host and process it only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and support the service as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not upload content you do not have the right to use, harmful code, or content that violates another person's rights.

Subscriptions

Buddie has no free service tier. Access is offered through auto-renewing subscriptions: US $19.99 per month or US $149.99 per year. Eligible new subscribers may receive a seven-day free trial. Eligibility is determined by Apple and a trial is not guaranteed. The App Store purchase screen shows the binding local price, currency, trial eligibility, taxes, and terms before you confirm.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase or when an eligible trial ends. The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple manages billing, cancellation, and refunds. In Buddie, open Plans and billing and choose Restore Apple purchase or Verify subscription access. Manage or cancel in Apple Subscriptions. Deleting your Buddie profile or the app does not cancel billing.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse Buddie, interfere with the service, evade limits or subscription checks, access another person's profile without permission, reverse engineer the service except where law permits, or use meal estimates for prohibited high-risk medical decisions. Private game invitations are for people you know; do not use them to harass or impersonate anyone.

Changes and availability

Features may change as Buddie is maintained and improved. The service may be interrupted for maintenance, security, provider outages, or circumstances outside the operator's control. Material changes to these Terms will be posted here with a new effective date. If you do not agree to revised Terms, stop using Buddie and cancel any subscription.

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Buddie is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or medically accurate. The operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for Buddie during the 12 months before the claim. These limits do not exclude rights or liability that applicable law does not allow the operator to exclude.

License and Apple terms

These Terms give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Buddie on devices you own or control, subject to Apple's usage rules. They do not transfer Buddie's software, artwork, brand, or other intellectual property to you. The Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies and is incorporated into these Terms. If you downloaded Buddie from Apple, Apple is not responsible for the app or its support, and Apple may enforce these Terms as a third-party beneficiary. Nothing here reduces rights provided by Apple's billing rules or consumer law.

Ending use and contact

You may stop using Buddie at any time. Your settings → Profile → Data & privacy lets you export and delete your data; subscription cancellation is separate.
