Saved progress or sync

Keep the app open and connected until the status says Saved. If Buddie shows a pending meal or recovery copy, open it and review the choices before clearing app data. Do not reinstall while changes are pending. When possible, open Your settings → Profile → Data & privacy and choose Download full JSON before troubleshooting storage.

Restore a profile

Open Your settings → Profile → Account & subscription. In the Apple account panel, choose Restore an existing profile, confirm that you saved or exported this device's work, then tap Continue with Apple using the Apple Account previously connected to the profile. If another device still has access, it can create a one-time device-link code instead. Restoring or linking switches profiles; it does not merge profiles or move unsynced meals.

Purchases and trial

At the access gate, choose Plans & restore purchases. On Plans and billing, choose Restore Apple purchase or Verify subscription access. Confirm the device uses the Apple Account that made the purchase. Apple controls trial eligibility, charges, cancellations, and refunds. Manage or cancel at Apple Subscriptions, view Apple billing support, or request a refund from Apple. Deleting Buddie does not cancel a subscription.

Apple Health

Open Your settings → Profile → Apple Health · manage connected data. Choose Steps, Sleep, Workouts, or Heart rate, then tap Sync Apple Health. Buddie reads today's steps and up to seven days of the other selected signals. Review permission in the Health app under your profile → Apps → Buddie. Apple protects read decisions, so No records shared can mean either no matching data or access was not granted. Use Remove imported summaries to clear Buddie's device copy without changing records in Apple Health.

Meal analysis

This release supports food search, package-label entry, recipes, favorites, repeated meals, and optional AI estimates from meal descriptions or a selected photo. AI meal assistance requires a connection and your explicit opt-in. That choice is remembered for this profile on this device until you turn it off under Your settings → Profile → AI meal assistance. Photo and text results are estimates: review the food match and portion for every item, add anything missing, and correct the result before saving. If analysis fails, use food search or package-label entry. Do not use estimates for allergies, medication dosing, or medical diets.

Export or delete

Open Your settings → Profile → Data & privacy. Download full JSON requests the retained diary from the service; Download device copy contains the recent and pending device copy. Delete data permanently removes the profile after confirmation and attempts to revoke a connected Sign in with Apple account. Follow the onscreen manual-revocation step if Apple is unavailable. Offline copies on other devices cannot be erased remotely. Read the Privacy Policy for details.

Buddie is not an emergency service. Contact local emergency services for an emergency. For health questions, contact a qualified clinician who can consider your history and circumstances.
