How does a picture become MIDI?
Canvas selects points from the image’s structure. Their horizontal position determines time; their height determines pitch on your chosen scale grid. Scale, pitch range, and density shape a four-bar phrase. You can edit its notes and export MIDI.
What can I draw?
Art Studio has brushes, a full color palette, shapes, fill tools, layers, undo and redo, and PNG export. Musical Ink is an alternate workspace for mapping drawn strokes directly to notes.
Which formats does Canvas use?
macOS standalone, AU and VST3, and Windows x64 standalone and VST3. View formats.
